Fragrant coconut, or Ma-Phrao NamHom in the Thai language, is another tropical fruit that has been favored by Thai and international consumers. It is also widely acknowledged that the Ratchaburi province, which also produces the most coconut fruits in Thailand, is the source of the best Nam-Hom coconut.

Improved techniques on crop cultivation especially under polytunnels, optimum input applications, pest and disease control, post-harvest management, quality packaging, and improved transportation methods are practised to ensure the best quality. The government also incentivizes the private sector involvement in commercial cultivation for further expansion.
